My car was due for a thorough vaccuuming, and this meant removing the front seats. I came across this wire that plugged into some other plug which was attached to the bottom of the seat. I don't know what it's for, and i'm pretty sure my seats aren't heated, and that it's not for an alarm. It was just weird finding it.

yes...it's a seat belt light. if you have heated seat, there would be 2 wires.

I have that plug too but no seatbelt light. Maybe its like that little recording device next to the temp dial, BMW is tracking what we do. Maybe they are weighing drivers.

no, not all E30s got those plastic ducts under the seats. My euro 316i didnt get them, it only came on the "higher" option cars, or bigger motored cars. thats why i cosider my car a "lightweight' factory thing. It is missing all the extras! origional. thank god for "cheap a** E30 buyers when these cars were new!
