Are there any supporting vendors y'all would recommend I call for replacement parts?Leave a comment:

It can be fixed with a new roof. Cheapest is a donor car, but the dealer can still get the whole roof from germany. One of the CCA members here put a new roof from BMW on their e30. If your not experienced in serious bodywork you'll have to pay someone to do it, which will be expensive. If I had to make an uneducated guess just having the new roof put in will run you 2k in labor plus materials.Leave a comment:

I'm no body man but...
If the roof structure is bent, I'd say it's fucked. Get a new shell, and swap everything over. If it's just the skin, then you can re-skin the roof, which shouldn't be terribly difficult for a professional.
Get some better pics and post em up.Leave a comment:

I say custom chop top vert. Goodluck doesn't look save able. From a logical stand point. Two very large oak trees and straight line winds, but I think the "I rolled this bitch" story sounds better. If it weren't for the fact that it has been family owned since new, and pretty well maintained, I would never consider fixing it. But since I know all of the history, I just can't bring myself to part it.
Anybody got a rust free roof the want to get rid of?Leave a comment:

wolf, fix it. the car means a lot more to you than just parts and money.
take a look at these threads for inspiration from people who've dealt with huge issues:
fixing it yourself is the story you'll want to tell your son when he's 16.Leave a comment:

Chop top it mang. Then cut out the spare tire well and slam it. Maybe grind off all the paint and throw some old diesel fuel on it. Afterwards, you can park it in your garage and.....well....I'll leave the rest to you.
Yeah, I went there.Leave a comment:

Hood and trunk are slightly dented, as are passenger front fender and rear quarter panels. I am not too worried about those, as I can basically bolt on replacements for everything but the quarter panel. The roof and passenger C pillar are the ones that concern me.Leave a comment:
