This car is sick, it's the "I am a plastic surgeon, work on titties" of BMWs (in 2001) of course. I still love this 7 series. It's my favorite fo'sho...

Isn't this the same ride in the first Transporter, but in black? I know it was a 7series, I just don't know what exact year or model...

The 735i in Transporter was a E32. Previous body, and very ugly IMO.

        This is a e38.

        We have a 97 E38 740i at TSA for sale. $9500

740i is more desireable than 740iL, right? What's the difference between them anyway?

Pretty sure the 7series in the transporter was an e38. Maybe I'm wrong, but I really thought it was as far as I can remember.

              Nope. Euro E38 735i. M62B36 V8 unlike the E32's with M30 I6's.

The 7 in the Transporter was in fact an e38, not the e32 (ugly, I agree).

e38s are in my top five favorite BMWs list.

Regular length wheelbase (i) vs. long wheelbase (iL). iL's generally have more standard features/options. There's plenty of backseat space in a standard wheelbase 7... unless you plan on getting schaufered around, don't bother with the iL.

only reason i'd buy a 7 is to actually have room to bang in the backseat. any other reasons are 5 or 3

Its was a E38 and I believe it was custom built with a V12 motor and a 6 speed manual transmission. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

If you look at the cover art, it has a E38 on it with the wide grill, which I believe was only for the 750. But then again, the cover art may have some completely different car on it. Someone with the DVD will have the right answers for us.

Suppose it was a e38, just went and checked the dvd.

Maybe I'm thinking of another movie?

Not in the US, but overseas, yes.

The last US market manual 7 series was the E32 735i, and there were only 8XX of those.
