    i bought a whole new motor from ebay bc the one i had. had exploded so that patch kit would have been a waste.

    alright cool. i was planning on ordering this fix, it was suggested over on bimmerforums

    Yes, its a manual. Problems with fit, no. Just take your time as the fabric has to stretch. Ill try to find a pic. I still need to redo the rear where it attaches to the frame below the window though

    just fix the power top. ive fixed both mine and my dad's. its usually the lower main gearbox that blows but i love having the power top.

    seems pretty good. Id find out if they make it or they just get it from someone else. Figure out details like the to see if its genuine or not. Also, save that screenshot just in case. make note of every word on that page to ensure you can get your money back if there are any problems.

    i actually have a broken power top that i was planning on fixing (getting tired of ghetto rigging the lid shut), will probably get new tension straps as well while i'm at it.

    It will probably be okay, especially if you got a manual top. Mine came with an aftermarket top and its good you just have to help it fold when letting it down. Its probably my tension straps tho.

    I personally like the tops at autotopsdirect.com . They look like the factory tops and are available in different grades of fabric with different pricing. Just remember, you get what you pay for.....
