some SOB dented my vert

just got it like 2 weeks ago, looked at the front passenger fender today and there was a dent. i'm 99% sure it was some guy in my apartment complex as i looked at his car today and he has a scratch that lined up with it in terms of location and color

what do i do now? got a shot of his plate and the dents, but it's dark out so the quality isn't the best, will try to get better pics in the morning.

This, and it's an easy out if they didn't. Just telling them that their reaction told the truth that they didn't hit it, and all is well. Sorry for the inconvenience kind of thing.
