I am in market for rust free E30. Don't care if is convertible. coupe or sedan but must be clean. I been looking for a while and can not find any hardtop without rust. Came across 92 318I with 150K and owner is asking $3500. Car is clean color is green (not big fan of green color). Is that price reasonable?

Yeah its reasonable if its in great condition. No peeling paint, maybe a few tiny dings, decent interior (maybe a ripped driver's seat, but nothing much more), and a strong engine that doesn't seem to burn much oil or anything screwy. If it's in that kinda condition then it's a decent price. The first car I ever rode in was an e30

your text is blue. you must want a blue one.
cool.
all jokes set aside, i agree with these two guys. I would probably look out for little things and make sure everything is straight. and ask more questions as to why its being sold and all that stuff. As odd as it sounds, it can clue to certain things every now and then.I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

yes a vert in good condition is worth north of 3000, that being said the autotragic version can be found in good condition around 2000... I'm just surprised you can't find a four door in good shape for cheap, they really seem to be all over the place!! I would hold out for the model you want and expect to have to travel to get a nice one!!

not a real fan of a green but that price sounds reasonable. Even if its an auto and that bothers you, there are plenty of resources on how to do a manual conversion. Things to ask about on top of the normal e30 questions are condition of soft top/back window and top of rear seat.

since it is a m42, i would have to say that is indeed a manual. an auto m42 car would be rare indeed. in fact, i don't think there were any.sigpic
