Mine doesn't do that. And yes, there is a low gas light, it should come on with approx. 2 gals remaining. It's no surprise you only put in 11 gallons when you're not running the tank down.

According to mine, I have infinite gas. Never goes below a 1/4 tank. I rely on the fuel light.sigpicComment

im afraid to run the tank down, sometimes it feels like the car isn't running as it should when it has more gas. I read that e30s generally run like that <1/4 tank, but in my 325is my car ran fine until it started to loose acceleration and then finally conked out when it ran out.Comment
