      Why 256mb?

What games do you expect to play on it?

yeah 256MB has been out for almost a year, and still almost no games take full advantage of it.

The real question is your CPU...if that's going to be your bottleneck, there's no point in you buying a super-nice card.

That said, I love my 9800 Pro

my buddy just bought that 9600 xt and seems to like it alright...he hasn't complained about anything yet. And yes 9800 pro is sweet. I still like my old school GeForce 4 Ti4400 128MB. I just wish i had a second LCD up at school, cause dual monitors is soooo nice.

excellent card, although see if you can find an old 9700 Pro, or a 9500 Pro, both are faster in most benchmarks.

256mb for the 9600XT is overkill, and simply not needed, so I would save money and go with 128mb

I have a 9600xt that I got for xmas. Its the 128 and I love it. Every game I play is on highest setting and they look the tits. So thats my opinion. I would buy it if I didnt get it free.
