Gave the car a test drive today and it definitely has its fair share of problems. Pretty serious oil leak, hood doesn't close, interior needs work. On the plus, the body is pretty decent when it comes to rust. Might still make an offer on it, but it's not going to be over 2,000.

Offered him 1500, he came back with an offer of 2000 with "a slew of extra parts". I offered him 1800 and he said no. As much as i want an E30, i think i'm gonna let it slide :/

looks like the exhaust is missing, I do not see a downpipe coming out of turbine.

right you are, exhaust is not complete. He has one on there now that doesn't make it all the way to the exhaust, but a little fabrication and it would be fixed. I have access to some pipe and a welder so it's not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience

I see what you mean. Well, i'm going to test drive tomorrow, so i can always ask about it. The guy has seemed pretty straight forward so far, hopefully he'll be honest about it. We shall see.

There is no way that turbo produces more power for that engine...literally the size of my fist.

The knee bolster is missing. That foam piece you see there is metal reinforced and came on airbag cars, which this car is.

What do you mean by the knee bolster? I don't know what that is :/. Also, he has an extra engine with the stock exhaust manifold and i figured i could just remove the turbo and revert it to NA.

I wouldn't buy that for 3k. It is nearly a 3k car without the ebay turbo kit. That will most likely be unreliable. I wouldn't trust a car that had a turbo kit installed by someone else other than a few trusted forum members. Also, what is up with the knee bolster under the steering wheel.
