Smart move by toyota. Probably not so much by BMW. But all german car manufacturer are heavily subsidised by the government, so this would be a nice break for BMW.

I think toyota would be most interested in BMW's light weight tech. I believe BMW is developing a way to make CFRP chssies cheap, and efficently.
