Yes. I got the chance to see one in person and the owner was from Britain had it shipped along with his friends who also brought their z1s who were doing a tour around wine county. I was always a sucker for those disappearing doors

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the narrators of that video have creepy robot voices?

I like these a lot, always have, saw one in person last year.
I'd like to see one 24v swapped.

There is only one ever imported to my country, a euro version, brand new. I remember when I was 13 years old or so having that car in the showroom for sale (second hand) and after a ittle while someone bought it. Never saw the car anywhere ever...I wonder where it is at...if it pop up for sale and if the car/price is right, I will buy it!

It was yellow/lemon color, not the nicest color but somewaht rare!

Someone offered these with 24v when they were new I believe. There's a picture of the ad floating around here somewhere.

                How about a 32v

There is nothing about these cars that is cool to me.

Were these 4x100 or 5x120 from factory?

                      I don't see how it's basically an e30, but it's a cool car nevertheless.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

They were 4x100, I know they shared engine, trans and front suspension with e30's

                              Technically, it is an E30. The same way a Z3 is an E36 (roadster = E36/7 ; coupe = E36/8 ).

The Z1 was based on the E30 chassis modified to accept the new "Z-axle" multi-link rear end, which is where the model designation comes from. Other than the bodywork and Z-axle, the mechanical bits are the same as a 325is.
