Yep.

But, every time I get into my E30 to drive wherever, I'm accepting that it may never come back home. Every time I play with it, no matter how mindful I am, no matter how many times I've taken a route, every time is a little different and unexpected shit happens.

I realized this the first week driving my E30, never had that feeling with a car before though.

It's funny that I crashed in the SLOWEST car i've had. Probably going to get flamed for this (more so than I already am), but M42s, at least in the twisties, are MUCH more fun than M50's. It's probably because you can actually use all of its power.

This is true, and the improved weight balance enhances the driving experience.

It's fun to explore the limits of a machine in the right setting and a nimble, lesser powered machine brings those limits closer to us non professional drivers with generally less severe consequences for pushing too far.

Also, lolcan i applaud your composure in handling the abuse heaped upon you, spoken like a gentleman.

It sucks to destroy something you love even if the love was only a few days old. There could be a few stories of wrinkled sheet metal, unintentionally removed suspension components and motorcycles the wrong side down spoken about me...
