    yeah.... the rest of the car is pretty damn clean. Everything works on it. No rust, just 240,000 miles worth of mostly highway miles. Currently looking at new motors.... I do too much for my sister.

    Fix it, havin to deal with DMV/insurance kinda sucks, along with findin another car.

    Find a motor with lower miles? 240k is alot out of a stupid hyundai.

    Valves are cheap. Do a leakdown, then see what it says. It'd be silly to swap the engine
    because you knocked a sensor off when you were changing the belt...

    I'd honestly vote just to fix the car. Finding a different one, checking the other for issues and/or fixing them, will just cost more in the end.

    If it ran well and she liked it just keep it simple and fix the engine. Cheaper and probably simpler. Plus you dont have to fight with her over what she thinks her new car needs because chances are she wont actually need it.
