E30 Love! Just to toot my own horn..

I have had my E30 parked since March for fear my wife would have me sell her after losing my job. But, it was so nice today I took her (my first love, the E30) out cruising.
One of those fancy brand new 3 series pulled next to me at a stop light, and older/ distinguished gentleman rolled his window down to compliment my car.
Sure, I have received love from fellow r3v's and others like us.
But, this was the first time some one with a little dough in his pocket gave her a compliment. Anyway, I wanted to share my story.

Nice clean car! I have people give me the thumbs up driving around here sometimes, though it always seems to mean more when it is somebody in a newer car that does it; I had a GIRL driving a new Z4 SDrive35i give me one and I was on cloud 9 for 2 days. E30 owners here in Germany seem to be fairly friendly with each other; I always get waves or thumbs up from passing E30s...
