Save them. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.
Have them properly redone. Looks like someone already screwed with the bottom and the sides are way off.
Some parts can be had at BMW, I bought the back lifter strut things and they weren't too pricey.

(the black part is just a towel tucked in so I don't fark them up with jeans rivets)

Yeah I've been crackin up at the shaggy bottom recovering. Only on the drivers seat. I'm fucking pumped on the prices that 2002parts.com has. Can't wait to start taking everything apart to clean all the rodent piss/ homeless orgy off of everything.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1j4m...e_gdata_player

Good news for my lazy ass. My brother's girlfriend's family apparently ran an upholstery shop for over 30 years and are willing to do my seats as long as I provide parts. Im looking to do fabric centers (keep the swamp ass at bay) with leather bolsters. Any suggestions on patterns/materials that are best suited for longevity?

Gary's U Pull It FTW, I almost snagged them but did not want a project.

My Father knows the owner, they do AMAZING work.

Nice find. You'll really love them once they are recovered.

Here's a set I picked up for the '02 a couple months ago. Gotta love period correct parts.

You can buy Recaro fabric from someone on here. He recovers Recaros for a living.
