    "Dude sale me your car"

Yesterday, I was at a car dealership picking up my plates for my other car. While pulling out of the dealership lot, I see two guys walking towards me quickly and flagging me down. I slow down thinking maybe something is wrong with the car or had a flat. As they got closer, I lowered my passenger side window. One of the guys got to the car first and asked if I was interested in selling the car. I told him no since I had just gotten the car to where I am happy. By this time, the other guy caught up and leaned in and said, you want to sell? I told no, I want to keep it. But they pressed, "are you sure? There's no price that you would sell it for? How about I give you my number and you call me when you change your mind". I politely declined and told them I just got her to where I am happy, so I don't want to sell.

Over the years, I've had many cars... some are older "classics" (e30, clean CRX) and others are nicer cars. But I have to say this is a first. :) Feel good, especially considering how much I've put in so far!

That happened to me except the people wanted to buy my house. It's a great feeling when people offer you money for things that you take pride in.

You should keep a ridiculous number in mind when these people talk to you.

No, we all are. We don't take kindly to those who don't speak proper English.

This is exactly how I bought my e30.

I got my dad into e30s and he was at Costco one day, he saw my current e30 parked in front idling, someone was sitting in the passenger seat waiting for the driver and my dad went up and complimented on the car, after a short chat he asked if the e30 was for sale. THe passenger said hes not sure because its his brothers and probably wasn't. My dad waited a bit for his bro to come back but had to leave, before he left he got his number. Passed the # to me and i called a month later. Just so happens the guy was looking to buy a new car and decided on the spot to sell. I guess my dad was just at the right place and time.
Had a smooth purchase transaction with me?
