    Bulge in tire

I bought a set of tires of a friend recently, used. After a week one started vibrating on the highway, i figured a wheel weight fell off, no big deal. I hardly even drive so it wasnt a big issue, it started showing up at lower speeds and moving the steering wheel slightly left and right, and wore prematurely on a spot, which is now like a bump/bulge with no tread in that spot.
What the heck causes this? Tire defect?
Have another set im throwing on before i drive it again, just curious as this happened to my first car around 10 years ago.

The bands in the tire broke making the air push the rubber out. It wears the tread out in a bald spot manner.

usually it comes from improperly dismounting the tire, or in some cases, hitting a curb really hard.

Yes, a tire defect would probably be the best answer. the wearing of the tread was probably caused from the bump in the tire. However, i believe bumps in tires can also be caused if you hit a bump or hole in the road pretty freaking hard. It could weaken that part of the wheel and over time the pressure of the tire causes the bump.

either way, just get it replaced. Problem solved. Its a pretty easy fix.
I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

You have to let the air out of the bulge. There is air trapped in there. You have to let it out.
