Can you sell your e30?

all depends on what you replace it with! Only thing I'll miss is going to The Vintage every year. ;) -
Traded my E30 for a friends truck the other day... I couldn't help but tell him "Be careful man, I love this car" about 10 times before he promised he would be extremely careful. I couldn't stop thinking about it all day, then once I got it back we went for a nice long cruise.
My e30 has a trashed body with a shitty paint job, but it's mine. First car I've had in a while without payments, which makes me love it that much more. Only way I would let it go is the same as Janderson said, trashed.Leave a comment:

well, i dont want people to find out that I have a dildo collection in the glovebox and that the color of the ceiling gets its color from the dried up lubes i use. So I really dont want to sell itLeave a comment:

The only way my E30 will leave my possession is if it's destroyed beyond repair. That's the only reason the first one went away.
Anyone who has known me for a while knows how much work has gone into this car, and the thought of parting with it is unimaginable.Leave a comment:

I'm actually selling mine right now. The guilbo sheared and I've had enough. It's suppose to be my daily but it keeps going out on me and is completely unreliable. Gonna sell it and hopefully find a more reliable daily for now and get back in an e30 later down the road.Leave a comment:

My situation almost exactly. Car is acting up; funky idle, has no paint, did a few mods and swapped the engine a while back but my guilty conscience comes from the fact that the car was given to me :/This is a touchy topic for me because my e30 decided to give me lots of problems at my lowest financial period. I'm a full time student on a mean budget and i've managed to maintain the car well. It recently began overheating and i fixed it. However i woke up today backed out of my parking spot and noticed about 3-4 inch circle of oil. i concluded it was power steering fluid. Now i have to find out what the fuck is going on and on top of that the idle is going nuts. In the back of mind I've been thinking of selling it but i always kick myself and say no. I actually made an ad for it and felt so guilty that i deleted it 30 minutes later. This is my first car i've ever had and i have owned it for 2 years now. I hope i can keep her forever, but its getting very hard.Leave a comment:

Can you sell your e30?
I'd rather die.
No - but seriously, I'd rather die.
I fully understand this is an unhealthy approach toward a material possession.
Like if it got hit and totaled - I suppose I'd strip the goodie parts for a new shell - but I don't like to think of that scenario..Leave a comment:

I had a 1999 e46. It was an autotragic and it was a solid car. I only got rid if it because the tranny was doing weird things and I was going to go down that road. Yeah, they are everywhere but I like most everything about them. It's the last 3 series I'd own without a maintenance pkg. Maybe I could get one first to see if it tickles my fancy.Leave a comment:

i'm being honest. the Volt is a great DD car and the e46 has better geometry and power. I love my e30, its almost finish but its not a good DD and its not a good track toy (bc vert)I admire your boldness (esp. if your not shitting us). It takes a lot of ballz to come on here and say that you would take one of those cars over an e30.
Cars, like women, are meant to be enjoyed then you move on as nothing lasts forever. Then you find others and enjoy them too. Each different and special in their own way :)Leave a comment:

Probably not, can't think of anything else even close to it's combination of timeless style, handling, appeal, utility(Touring), fun-factor all rolled into one.
Maybe I would go E34 or E39, E46 is always on my mind as a possibilty but lacks soul & individuality. The E34 would necessitate and engine swap to an M52, and the E39 would be a bit boring unless copious amounts of money were spent on sportier suspension.
I had thought about Nissan, an s13/s14 but they have such shit interiors. Or MK3 Supra, but again the interior is like futuristic 80's crap. A Mk2 VW Golf/GTI with a 1.8t swap always peaked my interest....Leave a comment:
