    Just got a 325ix e30

I just got a '88 325ix and the previous owner referred me to joining this site.

I'm wanting to start off removing the cluster and fixing the tachometer and hopefully the mpg gauge. If someone has some good info still to get started on that It would be appreciated.

Also the car was In a fender bender and the housing for the ellipsoid headlight was damaged and I'm not able to find another lens to get that light covered back up! Anyone know where to get one?

Cluster issue is probably the SI board.

Do you just need a lens? Or do you need a bucket? (Does the housing move at all)

      Wilkommen!

        JJe30 - thanks man

Turbojake- the lens would be a quick fix to avoid replacing the housing but the metal rim is bent in and I believe the bucket has received damage too. Also does the light moving mean a new bucket is needed because my right light moves for sure.

Indeed it does. They break quite commonly even without accidents. So it's pretty much guaranteed that if another car, wall/building, or something larger than a rock kicked up taps it hard enough to break the lens, the bucket probably broke too.

There is the possibility that the adjuster broke, and that would cause the light to move. But I have never seen this happen.
