2003 evo?

Got an offer to buy a friends 2003 Evo for 15k. 103k on the body and 35k on the motor. They swapped in the motor for one from a 07-08.

Does anyone have personal experience with them? It would be a daily driver.

i came from the evo scene. there was no 2007 evo. Is it an evo ix motor? hows the transfer case sound when driving? when was the timing belt done? thats an expensive service.... message me if you want. I have had 3 evo's and built several others.
