    1982 320i 55k miles value?

A lady stopped me on my way out of the convenience store I go to every morning for my coffee and started asking me about my car. It turns out she is selling a 1982 320i and asked me what I thought the value was...

I really don't know, especially with the 'low' miles so this is where R3V comes in. What do you think is a fair price for the car? I will post more pictures soon when she sends them. Maybe someone here is interested, and if not, then at least she can get a good price to put the car at. She said she wants it to go to an enthusiast.

Just as a heads up I am in no way affiliated with the seller other than just meeting her this morning.

Doing a quick CL search I found what is probably her car, will confirm later once she gets back to me. It looks like the paint may be shot but some cutting or just wax will probably bring it back to life with no problem.

    From the AD:
1982 BMW I approx. $55,000 original miles, 2 door, manual sunroof, ( no leaks) leather, a/c compressor ok, may need fan. Runs well, tires etal are good. 2nd Owner, purchased care with 44,000 miles.
Needs exterior TLC, some rust in back tail light.
Only serious, motivated buyers need to respond.
    Will take offers.

The paint could be brought back in a weekend of like you said cutting and lots of buffing. That would be insanely amazing to own. Slight drop all stock DD. I would say from the miles and care about 2k at the low end. I just needs the right person that is looking for an e21.
I would not blink before handing over 3k It is so clean and cared for. But I only own e30, e24 and e28 no clue on pricing of the e21. I could be low or too high.

Good info, I honestly want to pick it up for myself but need to stop buying stuff! She said she's getting more pics as soon as she can so we'll have to see whats up with the rest of the body. I honestly don't even know if it's manual or not.

Seeing as I paid 500 for mine with nearly 300k on it and well beaten I would say anywhere from 2.5k-4k similar to what fear was saying, but to the right person maybe 5k+

I would say $3k has it. I just bought a super nice 1983 320is this past saturday. I stole the damn thing though.

I've seen these cars at boutique dealerships for 6-8. Sure that is inflated for various reasons, but such sales suggest there is a market for it. I think a solid CL price would be around $4k, give or take a bit, but even then she might price herself out the CL market. There was a decent 320i with a turbo near me for sale for around $4.5.

E21 enthusiasts will drool all over clean Henna cars (who wouldn't?) could easily be worth 4k if it is a manual and as clean as it looks in the photo

that color definitely looks like zinno berot to me.

henna is a orangey pinkey color from the miami vice era.

the market for an e21 is extremely small. You could get a lot but the average person would be in the 1500 max range.
