    Worth saving from the grave?

There is a car on Craigslist that is being parted out that doesn't seem like it deserves that fate. On the ad, he says there is damage to the passenger front quarter panel and when I called him he said he thinks there is some frame damage there, but he didn't seem too sure about that. I want the transmission and front spoiler from it, but I'm considering saving the whole car and either using it as a parts car if it really isn't worth the repair, or keeping it and driving it so I can have some topless fun!

    Here's the ad:

Really need pics of the quarter to determine, but judging from the quick glance I took at the photo that pans over the hood, the damage cannot be that bad at all...

the first mention of possible frame damage, hang up the phone. you would have to get that frame checked with a laser to be sure and would always have that in the back of your mind.

there are many other better candidates for saving that will cost you a lot less in body work down the road.

If the frame is trash, it seems like there would still be enough good parts to make it a worthwhile purchase as a parts car. I might be able to talk him down a little.

if you get him down to 750 or so I'd say that makes a pretty decent parts car.

Yeah, he doesn't respond to emails... you have to email him your phone number and he will call you. If I buy the whole thing, I'll sell them to you if I determine it only being parts car material!

I saw this one too and thought it would be cool to cruise in a vert for <$1000 but I have enough to screw around with car wise atm.

In a different ad, he says it's silver, so that should clear it up. I should call him and ask him to email me pictures of the right front quarter...

that guy's photos suck donkey penis. looks like its a manual. well worth 1k in my opinion. he says all 4 wheels are good so the damage likely isn't too bad. if the accident is in front of the frame rail, its probably just the core support and the front part of the inner fender that is bent. you can just pound that back in place and hang a fender on it if that is the case. go lay your eyes on it before he sells anything off it.
