Accidentally jumped the wrong pins resetting oil light, now my dash lights dont work

I accidentally jumped the wrong pins on my 91 318i trying to reset the oil indicator light.

I jumped pins 13 and 16, and turned the ignition to ON. Figured out I messed up, and then jumped the correct pins, and reset my oil light.

I went for a test drive and turned my lights on. Now my dash lights for my tach and temp gauge do not light up, although the gauges do work. The speedo and fuel gauges light up fine.

Should I replace the bulbs or what do you think I may have messed up?

Probly just popped a fuse, check those first.

      all the fuses look good...

everything else appears to work except the two lights

The references I have show 13 as an unused position in the diagnostic connector. Pin 16 goes to the O2 sensor. If those are the pins you tried I don't see how that could affect the dash lights. A bad fuse, bad cluster ground, or bad dimmer switch are possibilities.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
