Thanks man. I dont think I'll rebuild and the #1 reason for that is because I dont want some other reckless asshole to take an amazing E30 away from me again. I have been getting ready to trade my E30 for my friend's mint E36 M3 + 5k cash and my biggest reason was because I was so afraid that someone would take my E30 away from me while dailydriving it. My worst fears came true today. This car had so much put into it by the previous owner and I just spent $250 on Monday alone putting in a new wheel besring and doing a bunch of fixes on the car. I am fucking heartbroken right now as I was prepped to have my close friend take the car... he was going to baby her for me so she wouldnt get mauled driving on the freeway everyday. God damn.

So today was my last day ever driving my beloved E30. I was exiting the freeway on my way to work when a Prius driver cut across 5 lanes of traffic and came out in front of two semis next to the exit lane. He cut into my lane hard and I swerved and hit the brakes but he cut me off with about 30 feet between us. My left front corner smashed into his right rear. I was thrown back and forward pretty hard, enough that I couldn't stand up or get out of the car for about 4-5 minutes.

The wheel is bent at an angle, the sidewall next to the clutch pedal is pushed on far enough that the clutch pedal cant be fully engaged without catching against the sidewall. Pieces of the car flew into the passenger rear seat. Front left of the bumper and nose panel are ripped off, the nose panel flew into the side of the freeway as well.

No pics yet, CHP said it was too dangerous to take them. A witness gave statements that the guy in the Prius was driving erratically and weaving through traffic and that he almost hit her too. I guess he has a driving history.
