    buy shell vs. Fix. Help?!

So r3v this is the question I have been dealing with...

I currently have an e30 with plenty of great parts but the shell has always bugged me. The problems with it are...

rocker panels are fucked.. and I mean FUCKED! need to be cut out and replaced.
looks to have been tapped in rear (pushed in rear valence, spare tire well slightly as well)
lower radiator support needs to be replaced
battery tray is rusted a bit
needs new valence (I have a complete, authentic hartge kit though),
rust around the edge of the sunroof (not visible but you can feel it)
and really it should be painted. The hood is chalkboard painted and in general I don't like red.

Here is one picture of how it sits now because I am always dissapointed by threads with no car pictures.

Soo.... what do you think r3v? I already have a shell wanted thread in classifieds but until I really decide it's kind of a "if i love it, i'll buy it"

also worth mentioning is that I have never done any bodywork, which is why I struggle with the decision so much. I have no problem with general maintenance and wrenching, I did the m50 swap (with a friend) having no previous experience. But messing with the body of a car scares me

I think you answered your own question. swap everything over seems to be the smart thing to me. If it has visible rust, there is probbly a TON of hidden cancer all over.
seems like it has a nice collection of parts on it!

Thats the plan for mine in a few years once I get some permanent shop space. Entirely strip down a rust free shell, paint and then swap everything over.
