91 318i, finally completed a water pump install today and now I need to install the water pump belt that broke off.
In order to do this you need to remove the A/C belt, which is supposed to be loosened by the lowest pulley on the engine. Unscrew the allen screw on the bottom of it, and then loosen the bolt in the middle of the pulley.
Well I was able to loosen the allen screw without any problems, but I can't get the pulley to move. The bolt on it will turn with a socket, get a little tight, and then get loose again. This happens when turning it in either direction.
Suggestions/Advice?
I will die without my AC, dont want to just cut the belt and forget about it.
