    plastic rings

    Does anyone make/cut plastic spacer rings? I need 2 black plastic spacer rings:

    OD 6 7/8"
    ID 5 1/4"
    3/8" thick,

    Anyone know anyone who could do this?
    1991 318is ---230K - DD

    No idea on cost. But there are lots of plastic manufacturers around the country. I have used ridout plastics for custom plastic pieces for electronics before.

      i sent a couple emails to guys on ebay who custom cut king starboard, figured i'd give someone on r3v the business if possible. i'll look into that rideout place.

          damn one place quoted me $200 and another $120...is it really that expensive to zip out two plastic rings?

                Get some 3/8" black plastic, cut them out with a sabre saw, and clean up the edges with a file.

                    this thread just made me wonder why people don't make wheel spacers out of delrin.

                          Not compared to aluminum. While they would work, they would deteriorate, and unless you kept an eye on them, could cause problems. I bet they would cause the wheel bolts to loosen due to expanding/contacting due to temperature.

                              G10/Garolite I bet would work well, though it would likely be just as expensive as aluminum, if not more.
