    Any Safety wire pros?

    Is this acceptable?
I've done it like 80 times. I can't seem to get rid of all the slack

looks like it will hold fine, I'm going to assume that is a reverse-thread fastener... safety-wire pliers can help you generate an amazing amount of force if you use the angeled side of the tip as the fulcrum to pull a single strand tight while using the free hand and other strand to lock it in place with a few twists... (hard to explain without showing you...)

The beginning of the twists you may not want to go as tight because it could ruin the integrity of the wire, you only want to go 4-6 twists per inch. Once you connect it to the cog, you want to start as close to the cog as possible to eliminate the slack. Your point of strength is the twists after the cog.

The twist looks a little tight as mentioned above but it looks like it will hold, what size wire are you using?
