e30 prices in australia getting me mad

I hate being in australia. I'm looking at buying another e30 (something more powerful then a 318i) and the prices most people are asking for in 320's-325i's are ridiculously expensive.

I've seen americans on these forums usually asking for less then 2500$ when selling their car.

    sorry just ranting.

You really cant compare the two. The cost of living in general is much higher in Australia, but wages are aswell. Im getting paid $21 an hour in the ACT, $2 above minimum wage. Back in cali minimum wage is $8.50. It's all the same in the end.

I would love to own that touring, 11k is not bad at all for that.

19k for that 325is made me laugh.

If we had teleporters Australians would just transport over here to buy them themselves.

some of those jump out at me as being excessively optimistic (twentysixkay 318is?!?!!!) but for the most part they all look incredibly clean and fairly low mileage and the prices are in line with what i'd pay for a well-kept car over here.

keep in mind that we americans also have to deal with very shitty car ownership standards (maintenance and general care for the vehicle) and other BS like rust. there are tons of clapped out e30s over here that the bravest among us decide to buy anyway.

prices are not to bad besides the E30 M3, tourings and the people who mod the car and expect some stupid price.

Parts on the other hand, now that is just plan waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles fucking.

mind you the alpina C2 convertiable is a good price.

Personally I think the prices have dropped significantly over the last few years. Which as an e30 owner disappoints me. Yes, there are always ridiculously high listed prices on a select few, but I would say you could easily find a nice 323i or maybe even 325i for sub5k if you look around..
325is usually fetch more but then they almost always have OE mtechII and all the sport trims on them..
There are usually plenty of bangers on ebay selling for fuck all.. But I think it's naive to expect anything quality for less than 2.5k. You get what you pay for.

It is supercharged.. and very clean, I've seen it in person. However I do agree the price is optimistically high..

Agreed the price of e30 M3's is outrageous.. . There are several e46 m3's for sale locally CHEAPER than the e30's ha..

Also that C2 Vert has literally be for sale for years. Unless it's been relisted again.. I've seen it up there several times.

Now you know how we feel compared to Europe.

Seriously though, send us some of your beaches and easy going aussie girls and we'll send you some e30's.

Really Seriously though, feel sorry for you mate.
