The GF and I were at a local Ford dealer the other week checking out the new 2013 Escape CUV. Nice ride - 1.6L EcoBoost offers decent scoot for the package. There was a red Focus GT on the display stand, looked awesome. Had the 6-speed manual too. I would gladly take one for DD chores or a road trip.

Yeah I don't plan on being your typical cars salesman. It's only a temporary job till I go back to school so I figure just have fun with it and learn a thing or 2. Hopefully my strategy works out for the better.

Thanks man. And yeah dude I haven't either, I'm trying to make my way out there. Would have next week or so for my birthday but this job took precedence. We will the day I get out there so We'll keep in touch.

So i just got back from my first day and I got to test drive GT and Focus ST.
The GT is one fast car, we have a nice little twisty section we take people on and I was getting the mustang to wag it's tail pretty easy through there. Definitely nothing like the e30 through that section but still fun. Feels like a boat compared to my go cart but it sounds nice and can handle pretty well. Can't wait for our next 302 to come in as the last one was sold a month or so ago
The ST is pretty sharp as well, Ford did a decent job I must say. Could still be lighter since it had a fair amount of body roll but maybe a better suspension would fix that, still doesn't feel like the e30 in any way. The seats were my favorite part as they hold on to you nicely. It has some nice sounds for a 4 banger as well.
All in all it was a good first day especially since they let me drive the two cars I wanted to right off the bat. If anyone wants to come in and take a test drive just write a PM and I'll tell you when I'm working.
