    Laying Carbon Fibre?

Im interested in learning how to lay carbon fibre, or atleast learn how it is done.

Anybody have some good info/webpages that can kinda get me in the right direction. I searched on google and didn't find a whole lot.

Wet layup into a simple mold is really quite easy. If the CF is to remain exposed, make sure you use plain weave. If you use Twill you are going to mess it up several times before you learn how to handle it right.

From what I've heard, CF, while very similar in concept w/ fiberglass, takes a lot more work to make it look decent. If you want it light, you need to bake it in an oven, so that the you can use as little resin as possible. That said, I'm going to give it a shot this summer too, as my dad knows a guy who works with it a lot building boat parts.
