Insurance totaled it, but considering I can diy most of this stuff, I wanted to get some input. As it sits, I'll need a whole new front end, minus a bulb here and there and come to find out today, since the hood won't close properly, the core support looks to be be pushed back at the top of the radiator.
The car is still drivable but is currently being held until my claim has completed. Worst part? I had a lien on the car so I get nothing to repair it.
Pretty dead center hit, no damage to the radiator/cooling system. My question is, since i'll tear down the front end, should I have the core & frame checked and straightened or just have them weld in a new core? Or should I try and bang it out with a hammer? I figure I would take it to be put on the frame rack anyways just to be sure.
If you have any parts that you are willing to sell for the low low or collecting dust, please do contact me!
Thanks for all your support R3v.
