Is this worth it.

Im new to e30's but not bmws. I had a e36 a couple year back but i hydroplaned 3 weeks after new suspension was put on. Now i have the chance to get a bmw body style i want. My question is Is this worth $900. It runs good but need just a few things and a top. It's a 88 325i Convertible. Im going saturday to look at it. He wants 1200 ive got him down to 900 over the phone. A stomp test and drive might get it to 800.

If you're happy with it and there's no surprises then 900 is definitely worth it. Think of what 2-3k spent judiciously into that car would do. It would be much more than a 3-4k used e30.

I'd jump on that just for the interior alone, looks to be in good good shape. The engine looks like it could have been maintained a little better but maybe it's just dirty. For that price I'd pick it up. Good find sir. If you get it for below 900, even sweeter.

the interior is really good but one tear in the driver seat. Fist thing will be a new top. its a crackless dash and been stored under a carport since the top got tore..i belive im gonna get it no matter what. he said he drives it to the river every weekend so...

yeah not bad for $900. I'm not a fan of Cabrio's, but if you like them then I'd pull the trigger on that.

Get it get it.

Even if you drop another $1k into it for a top, etc, you're still in it for under $2k.

i would budget up to $3K total to get it looking/driving/running nicely (barring any horrific problems)

Im Most likley going to get it. Gonna tackle the top myself. Funny you should say west tennessee. im in nashville and driving west to get it. I might be hitting some people up on here from tennessee for some parts or what not. Im just glad I got a lift i can use.
