It's been spray'd black at some point. its suppose to be dolphin grey. and the paint is a little faded on the roof and the spoiler is peeling. but nothing a good day of buffing it out shouldn't fix. The plan right now is to figure out the valve ticking noise, replace the blown out suspension with a aftermarket lowering set-up. and i noticed coming home from where i bought it that the temperature gauge read at the the 1/4 line and before i pulled in the drive it read half but as i hit bumps in the road it'd wave at me between zero and 1/4. is this normal? and from the quick searches i have done the odometer gear fix is to pull that gauge cluster and replace the whole unit or replace the gear? would this also effect my speedometer since that isn't working either.

Welcome! I'm down in the Vacaville area. Valve ticking might just be the m20 purring. ;) Gear replacement is an easy fix, but I'm pretty sure it won't effect your speedometer. (It's been a couple years since I last did it) You could also test another speedometer in it.

nice car buddy, for the record its delphin grey but nbd and your gauge needle probably moves around because the grounding nut in the back is loose or missing. if you pull your cluster or pop off the knee bolster you should see the thread just attach a brass ring and then a nut or just a nut. Garagistic on the forum sells nice odo gears for $15 iirc. Just pull your cluster and fix both of those issues. there's a DIY to pulling your cluster on here as well i believe.

If you have a 325 then you have a m20 and your transmission is a getrag 260

                  and welcome to r3v!

is the valve ticking normal? it sounds like a toyota 22-re (i was into trucks for a while) and even after you adjusted the valves it'd tick like nothing had changed.

edit: and yes it needs more low. im thinking the h&R sport to drop it 2 in the front and 1.7 rear. but i want to weld in the sway supports while its up on jack stands.

Also remember that the regular 325 has the 2.7L eta motor, not the 2.5 in case you're looking for parts in the future.
