Rear side marker lights...how to replace??

1987 325iC.

Cant get them from underneath, and I tried to pull them straight out, but was afraid they would break.

Do I have to remove the trunk liner?? That would suck!

Please, no guesses. If someone has a service manual, or has done it before, please chime in!

They clip into the bumper trim.

Small flathead screwdriver is your friend.

Yes flat head will be what you use. There will be an indentation on one end of the side marker where you can fit the flat head. Just gently pry it outwards. It's really not that difficult. If you are going to replace them why are you worried about breaking them anyway?

Sorry, I should have been more accurate...I need to replace the burnt out bulbs inside.
