    IE vs Madnecor Plug wires

I have a short on my #3 wire and going to order new wires for the car tomorrow. After some research on here I see the most popular wires are the ones from Ireland Engineering and the Magnacor. They both seem to be around the same price. What should I/ Would you go with?

You say stock BMW "performance" wires. By that you mean the oem ones? Or is there a wire made by the BMW group that is better than oem?

From what I remember the wires I had (custom wires now due to wasted spark setup) were OEM performance wires.. Not just stock replacements.

The megnecor wires are nice and high quality, had them on my Disco not sure how they are for E30's.

Also IE is known for their questionable quality of parts...

BMW performance wires are a step above the OEM stuff. I always recommend Levent at Guten Parts (see sig). Great guy to work with!

Has anybody on here crimped their own spark plug wires together?

Yes but just temp for the wasted spark setup until I can get a nice set from firecore50... Msd street fire wires come with a wonderful crimping tool... But not correct ends for our std distributor cap or coil.

Check Taylor wires too. I had magnacore on my Shelby Dodges and Taylor's on my LT1s. Both very good wires.
