Cheap, sturdy, and light floor jack?

So my dads trusty old heavy steel floor jack isn't working too well lately.
It is also heavy and didn't get very low.

I'm looking for an affordable and lightweight jack
I've been looking into one from harbor freight, does anyone have good luck with one of their jacks?

    Any other suggestions?

    thanks
    -Craig

I've got the Harbor Freight one that's down to like $70 now, don't remember what I paid because it was almost 10 years ago. That thing was essentially the TMS Racing shop jack for two years, went into semi-retirement at my house for a few, and now it's back in full time action at my current shop for the past four.

Still works great, never had a problem with it. The only thing you have to do is loctite all the bolts when you get it, otherwise you'll be periodically tightening them up here and there.

At my house now I have basically the same one from Autozone (needed it that day, didn't have a local HF at the time). Cost a bit more, but it's got a lighted jack pad which is handy, haven't had a problem with that one either.

Cheap, sturdy, and lightweight... Pick any two. The Sears 2ton jack comes the closest to meeting two of the requirements, but it costs over $300 and thus isn't cheap.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeah I figured I might not be able to get all 3 haha
I could probably sacrifice the lightweight requirement

I have a pittsburgh (HF) low profile one I believe it's 2.5 tons. I haven't had it for long but it works nice and does the job for sure. And it was cheap.

I've had my harbor freight jack for about 5 years now and have never had a problem with it. It has seen many track days and autocross tire changes over the years.

Pretty sure I've seen coupons for them for $69.99. Their sale prices usually aren't the rock bottom.
