Oil pan story sounds like bullshit. I wouldn't buy salvage unless track toy.

At least go look at it. I would take the busted oilpan over ran into a dear for sure. Just make sure to get underneath it and look for wreck damage. If none then barter with him cause its a salvage. Worst case your out a few hours time when he won't budge on his price.
