    cleaning engine bay help..

    this is a pretty noob question but what ever.. can i just spray the bay down with a hose.. of course covering the air filter and as much electrical components as i can.. any tips or tricks?

    First i cover electrical parts with aluminum foil. Then stat and key the engine run to where its warm to the touch. I use a foaming degreaser. I wait a few minutes then hose it off. I've done thus with multiple cars and works well

      All I did was cover my fuse box, alternator and intake with a grocery bag, sprayed Simple Green everywhere and then hosed it off. Then I dried it off a bit with a leaf blower.

            Purle Power works well too, but simple green works as well.

                make sure you add pvc piping over your electronics to protect them and increase rigidity to your car, then clean the bay

                  I actually didnt cover anything when i did mine.

                  Sprayed with simple green, rinsed, sprayed with tire shine to give some materials a good look. Then wiped down by hand.
                  I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

                    i pressure wash it when i wash my car works well enough i just do the exhaust side of the engine though
