    Keys lost... Go to dealer?

    Just purchased a 1990 vert!
    Wrecker auction. $450.
Glossy paint, nice rust free chassis, but autotragic doesn't run and has no keys.
Auctioneer said to get title and take it to the stealership and they can get keys. Just wondering if this is best route...?

I have a working engine and manual tranny in my rusted out parts car, and I am not yet sure if I will be swapping in one or both of these sooner or later. Is it easier to swap in both at once? I am looking for advice from the collective guru wisdom and or links to relevant threads.

I think her name is Goldie.

Dealer is pretty much the only way. Don't get too surprised about the price on it.

The plain master key isn't all that expensive. It would probably be less that having a locksmith come up with a key.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

          Probably around like $60.

How many key threads we got going now?

Just got back from county office (for title) and dealership.
            Title was $18.
Key was $47 and it will be ready for pickup tomorrow. They said each additional key was same price, so I will get copies elsewhere...
Attempts to start and amateur diagnostics/assessment begin this weekend!

$47 sounds like a good price. Is that the plain key?

Anyone know how much the lighted key is? I have been meaning to drop by the dealer.

Pre 95 they will give you a key code, then you can take that to a locksmith to punch it out for about 35 yucks
