    school me on diesel caddys

    looking to get a winter warrior and im leaning towards a diesel vw caddy. besides the rust problems, any reasons not to get one? they seem pretty simple and straight forward

              Reliability, its a vw. Some are doomed while others are champs. Im a huge fan of vw but i would never own one with digifart and craptronic. Vr6 again someday. I had a mk2 gti with snow tires and it was unstoppable in the snow but the motor hated me.

                      you can have fun with them.
                      i was tailgaiting one years ago up a hill, when he floored it, didn't go any faster, but smoked me out. unbelieveable quantites of unburned diesel.

                                              I had a 81 pontiac grand prix 5.7l 350 gas convert/diesel once. Biggest mistake of my life.
