    E30 Selling Tips?

So I'm trying to sell this car:

It's been really slow going, i.e. no offers. I'm sure that if I dropped the price, it would sell more quickly, but I have a lot of money in the car, from the stereo to the interior to the upgrades. My sense is that the same people who are going to pay extra for a lukebox and ellipsoids aren't going to want that stuff attached to a bronzit 4-door with gnarly paint.

I'm thinking that if I sell the primo parts separately, fix the headgasket and sell it as a runner, I can get my money out of it and move it more quickly, too.

    Thoughts?

Goodies don't increase car value a whole lot when with the car, but sold separately.

Take potential buyers on the ride of their lives. Then step out of the car and tell them their fucking welcome and that the price just went up $500.

For an added effect throw a cougar in the back seat of the car.

sell a car needing a headgasket and suddenly buyers look to good running cars.
secondly, you can never buy a car, put money into it and assume you'll get it back. also, if you want to sell a car you have to adjust to the market. i just went through the process of buying a car. looked for 4 months before buying one. there are still guys out there trying to sell the same car as 4 months ago because they refuse to believe their car is worth less.

From what I see in the ad, the negatives are the leaking head gasket, some body damage, high mileage, seat wear, A/C issues, and paint. The audio system doesn't add enough value to compensate for the negatives. With or without the audio system I'd say it is no more than a $1500 car.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

It's a nice car however it doesn't hold competition to other cars being sold in california from what I've seen. Part it or lower the price lol.

                  Part it out.

If you part it, you're destroying a good chassis.

Just sell it for less. To others it's not worth as much as you think it is, simple as that.

There just doesn't seem to be enough meat on the bone there.

I agree with the others in parting it out. All those little goodies will add up and you will get rid of it easier that way.

I mean the ellipsoids should net you $100 bux
The bumpers could be more than that.. I mean I might be interested in them. The wheels will net you a couple hundred more.

I do think the door cards with the huge speakers built in is kinda nice.

If you need the cash bite the bullet.. Take out all the stereo stuff.. The stuff it doesnt need to function and then sell it for 1 grand.

One thousand dollars is the magical number!

A car that needs paint ,Bodywork and a Headgasket is NOT a $2500 car. Especially for a Silver Sedan.

Take a grand off that price. put stock headlights back in. Sell ellipsoids seperatly.

DONT part it out. Its still a good Chassis.

                            stop and think............................
would YOU pay 2500 for a car that has a beat the hell up body, blown headgasket, and the seats look like thy are going to fall apart any day.

shit, you couldn't even wash it before trying to rape someone for 2500.
honestly, without the lights, and box, it isn't even a 500 dollars car.
                            sorry, just being real.

It's about location too. You're on the west coast. Tons of E30's out there. I had to look for a long time to find a good one out east. And I had to drive 5 hours to Atlanta to get it. Thing MIGHT fetch $1500 out here. Certainly not in cali though.
