I know that the Mustang isn't the greatest car but, the BMW elitism in the thread makes me sick. Plus, the new Mustang is an amazing car for the money, I can't wait to see the new model with IRS. I am curious to see if they fix the axle hop that plagued the '04 Cobra.

I know, it is sickening. I use to be that way with American cars. I must of been a real douche if I came off like people on here do.

v6 new edge models are pieces of shit. I had a 97 v6 mustang and was by far the best car I've ever had. Got good gas mileage and had a little pep with 210lb/ft torque from a 3.8L and durable as fuck. I beat the living hell out of that car and it took it and asked for more. All of you who are bashing v6 mustangs generalize all models without any experience. Mustangs being overrated...apparently you don't know the original purpose of the Mustang "to be a cheap and fun family man's car". If power is the issue then drive a cobra. You'll take what you said back once you start it up. The best cars I've had were Mustangs and the worst car I've ever had BY FAR was my e30 that I just recently got rid of. Mustangs are just like any used car. If the PO didn't maintain and beat the shit out of it then it's gonna be a piece of shit. Typically, since v6 mustangs are cheap and easier to get but still have the "mustang" name they are usually bought by younger people who beat the piss out of it. But with my experiences Mustangs have been the most fun, most reliable, cheapest maintenance, best looking cars I've had the pleasure of owning and would not think twice about dropping my money on another cobra or v6 DD.

SRT4's don't beat any good cars at AutoX. E30's and Miatas rape them for breakfast.

I dont know where people get that the neon handles poorly.Thats wrong. Does your information come from a video game? I own both and I race both. Understeer can be fixed with a sway bar. Most people get them for the straight line performance so what you are probably seeing is a guy set up to go straight fast go with his buddy to a auto event and do poorly.

Sure its not just the drivers...

I'm pretty sure it's the understeer and torque steer that does in the SRT4's. They're no Cobalt SS/Mazdaspeed 3.

Agreed. They wanted to make a car that had the most bang for the buck with track day fun. The SRT4 neon was born. I personally don't like them, and they are owned by Supra rejects. But don't be butt hurt because one stomped you at the local auto x.
