While searching Craig's List for e30 parts, I came across this Z3 for a very low asking price. After a couple days of internet schooling on the z3, I took my Indy mechanic and a 2 hour drive to check it out. The car was described as needing TLC so I was prepared for the worst. The dealership allowed us to view the car while on a lift. We noticed the notorious weak sub frame was repaired and reinforced. The rear shock mounts will need replacing, and the suspension could benefit from a fresh set of billies. The ABS and traction lights are on which according to the net are broken solders in the module. I sourced a company that repairs your unit for $150. Needs a shift knob and that's really all it needs. I drove it spiritedly 2 hours home without a hick up. It's a 1997 with 101,000 miles, 3 owners and a clean accident free auto check for $4500 haggled dollars:)
