Stereo/CD Changer question...

In my 318is, I currently have the IR Slot factory tape deck and a CD changer. Not sure what changer it has, but it is nice and works well.

The factory stereo gets ZERO AM radio reception. I have an Alpine CD head unit with CD changer control that I wanted to put in. Do you think it would work with the CD changer that I have working with the factory head unit? Would I need a different cable? Any ideas why my AM radio reception sucks??

The cd changer will most likely work with the headunit. Although i have a buddy who tried to do it and he needed all new wires and the ones that go from the cd changer to the stock head unit were different. But you should easily be able to get it to work. Although, why do you want the cd changer when you can just change the cd by taking it out of the headunit, and you dont have to go to the trunk to change all your cds? I spose its easier to have 10 or however many cds all in the one spot.

I have about a 1hr commute. I don't like changing CD's when I drive.
