thoughts on F10 damage/vandalism

So my mom calls me today and says she thinks there is a bullet hole in her passenger side skirt



It appears to be a drill hole.. but what rules this out in my mind is that it is not a clean hole. It is cut almost all the way around and then pushed in, like a flap. I couldnt get a good picture of how that looks

SO If it were a drill it would be a clean hole right?

It seems like an odd place for someone to vandalize because it is so hidden and there is only 1 hole

is there anyway to break in to the car from this? Is it a weird way to get to some sort of door actuator?

The car is a 2010 528i so its a bit more tricky than the old cars so was thinking maybe there is a way to pop the door open by drilling a hole

it could have been anything. looks like an exit hole. maybe there was a screw holding the sideskirt there and maybe it ripped out or something

Kinda large to be a bullet hole, almost looks like something got kicked up by the front tire and hit the side skirt.

I'm thinking bullet would have bubbled and chipped the paint. Maybe a stick or something got kicked up AMD hit it.

A stray bullet doesn't fly straight as a bullet does out of a gun. They'll often tumble through the air after hitting something already.
