Can anybody help me as i have a RHD 1990 e30 318i (Australian) with the m40b18 motor and wish to do a engine transplant to a 1992 e36 m42 with disa both engines are manual. cannot find a wiring diagram for x20 plug to c101 to anywere or a step by step guide on how to make. I understand that the e36 has the x20 plug and e30 has the c101 round plug and i need to make/buy a adaptor to make it work.
I have the engine loom (e36) and e36 m42 disa ecu (non ews) if that helps.
Im aware of sump change to m40 sump and oil pick up as well as e36 exhaust manifold not fitting into a rhd e30. (Going to go custom extractors/headers) as finding a e30 m42 318is manifold in australia is impossiable to find.
Im also aware of the differences in fan belts for these motors (e36 being serpintine)
If anybody else could help with this transplant it would be much apprecited.
