I've seen european side windows shatter just like that for no reason at all. No kids, no rocks, no reason, just ...because, and usually in spring or fall. Or maybe because european temperatures don't plummet overnight like they do in Ottawa and Binghamton.

Unlike front windows the side windows do break easily, according to a fireman friend of mine. They're designed to go all crumbly like that.

but with a tiny bit of porcelain from a spark plug you can drop it on glass and the window will shatter just like shown above.

I've thrown a spark plug at a window pretty damn had and if it doesn't hit right, it's not gonna break (i've never broken a window). It's more likely to be a BB gun or something similar than some 12 year olds throwing rocks at each other.

There was nothing found inside the car when i cleaned out the glass. I parked on loose stone which is wgat leads me to believe it was just that.

Though it turns out that a repair shop down the road had all their windows snashed in the night before. Just unlikely that the same people broke mine in the middle of daylight

Thankfully i had my ipod in the truck and nothing of importance in view. Looks like it got bashed and the little bastards freaked and took off. Almost wished they did steal something cause that'd be a good reason to have a broken ass window.

You know, I felt the same way when my car was broken into last year, but a friend of mine pointed out how much it would suck to have to buy a new ipod or anything else of value and I realized he was right. It sucks and you're out a couple hours and few bucks, but that's a lot better than the alternative of replacing electronics.
