Backed into at work: How to get the check instead of new bumper

She had claimed it a bit ago. State Farm is coming to look at the ole chariot on Wednesday. She'll be paying a deductible regardless, so I'm hoping I can at least get a nice size check out of the deal, sweeten the situation a bit. They claims agent I spoke to had no problem with my wanting just the check.
