Insurance called today. Apparently, they haven't been calling me back because something happened to the old investigator and the new one wasn't smart enough to give me a call back? Not sure what the hell happened.

call the california insurance commission--you will get more traction than threatening to contact an attorney...unless you actually *do* contact one
contact the local prosecutor's office, as well

if he stole the car then it's a criminal matter and there are reimbursement funds available to victims of crime

Dude, please do the things that guys are recommending here... Insurance companies are some of the worst companies out there. YOU have to be PROACTIVE and you can come out at least with what you put into it. You gotta do the leg work, don't give up!

heres my cabrio when some stupid waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles wasnt paying attention at a stop sign. I got it fixed. Fucking hate insurance companies. I argued with them for 2-3 hours on the phone to get that rear panel replaced instead of repaired. THey didnt get it. FUck those guys.

So here's an update to it all.
I'm still fighting with the insurance company.
But somewhat of good news is that the car finally started! After owning it for a year, it finally started for the first time haha. Only thing is that I kinda ran into an issue, now that it's running. Take a listen. Yay...

Sucks man, I'm dealing with insurance when the shipping company damaged my car. $1000 deductible and they refuse to pay!

Luckily, when you buy a new-to-you car, your insurance usually back-dates to the date of sale, and then if you report it to your insurance company, they can arbitrate with the other party to make sure you don't have to spend some extraneous time in court.
